Senior Manager/Supervisor
Haddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. is seeking a Finance Manager to join our team at our headquarters in Newark, New Jersey. The Finance Manager must perform several tasks in supporting the Finance Departments operations of the company. The Finance Manager must have strong mathematical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills. You will be working with the CFO, overseeing all financial aspects of the company. This would include creating financial statements regarding cash flow, income, taxes, earnings, inventory, investments and help with auditing processes. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for implementing and training existing and new employees in the accounting department.

Our in-house drafters then create technical designs and plans to be used by construction engineers. Project managers work closely with the general contractor and team of supervisors to ensure that the project remains on schedule without sacrificing quality work. Finally, our team of project managers with plumbing and HVAC supervisors coordinate when and how plumbing and HVAC systems are synergized and implemented.

Responsibilities:
- Input service tickets into the accounting program and maintain accurate records
- Maintain client records for invoices and payments
- Develop and implement billing policies and procedures
- Review accounts receivable weekly, initiate collections and maintain positive client relationships
- Work with accounting department on accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and payroll
- Generate and accurately process G702/G703 requisition billing in a timely manner
- Process, review and maintain accurate accounting of all change orders for each project
- Complete subcontractor/supplier tracking sheets and obtain lien waivers
- Monitor and review project costing monthly
- Review and understand billing procedures for each contract/client
- Manage and understand terms and conditions of contract, including items such as bonds, insurance, lien waivers, billing accuracy, etc.
- Meet with project managers and purchasers to review budget and estimate to ensure accuracy and mutual understanding of project cost
- Work with CEO and Purchasing Manager on inventory control and management
- Generate monthly work in progress (WIP) reports for management and Project Managers
- Prepare and review with monthly forecasts, profitability studies, and expense analysis
- Manage, train, and develop the accounting team
- Oversee the implementation of key performance indicator program. (KPI)
- Knowledge and oversight of payroll
- Monitor and review all bank reconciliations for all bank accounts for the company
- Assist in maintaining employee files and training new employees on accounts receivable and payroll processes
- Establish strong working relationships with all managers to coordinate company objectives while assisting in cost improvement initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required
- 5+ years of related experience is required
- Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
- Strong knowledge of internal controls and accounting guidelines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Experience with Sage 100 contractor (preferred)
- Experience in construction, plumbing, HVAC or other skilled trades preferred
- A valuable record of improving financial results
- Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese a plus
